Angela Sharp, Hermia

Angela Sharp is new to CTFC and thrilled to be a part of her favorite Shakespearean comedy. A week after graduating high school in a small town in South Jersey, Sharp moved to the Big Apple to study acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She was last seen as Willa Steele in Power Burn 3 for Fight Fest at the Brick Theater. Sharp also enjoys writing, directing, singing, and playing guitar. Huge thanks goes out to the world's greatest Dad for never missing a show, big sister Nina for being an inspiration, and the rest of the Sharp family for being the ultimate cast, crew and audience since day one.

Brandi Bravo, Helena

Brandi Bravo is a native Texan living and working in New York. She is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts via Playwrights Horizons Theater School. She has most recently appeared in the 2010 Ultimate Latina Theater Festival at the Nuyorican Poets' Cafe, and Safety+Desire at The Wild Project. Matt Casteel, Egeus

Matt Casteel is originally from St. Louis, MO and received a BFA in Directing from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. He has acted in several productions in Iowa: Twelfth Night, Habeas Corpus, The Seagull, The Maiden’s Prayer, and others. Although Matt has worked with Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Vineyard Theatre, and Roundabout Theatre Company since moving to NYC in October of 2009, Midsummer with Curious Frog is his first acting gig and couldn’t be more excited!

Michael-Kennen Miller, Theseus/Oberon

Michael-Kennen Miller is a native of Wasington Grove, Maryland and recently moved to the city after completing the National Tour of 'Footloose' (Willard). Regional: 'Fiddler...' (Fyedka), '...Charlie Brown' (Snoopy), 'On the Town' (Ozzie), '...Trailer Park Musical' (Duke). NYC: Zombie Strippers (Playya) at the Producer's Club; Readings/cabarets at the Players Club & Irish Rep (Off-Broadway). Commercials: Hello Kitty/Glico Chocolate. BFA Music Theatre: Elon University. Edie Monroy, Hippolyta/Titania

Edie Monroy (Edi): is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx, living in Queens. Her mother is also a native Bronx girl and her father hails from Bogota, Colombia. Edi recently graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, since then she has worked on numerous films, web-series, theatrical productions and commercials. She performed at a children’s theater, Galli Theater, in both English and German productions/renditions of Snow White and Rotkäppchen. She is featured in the ad campaign for the World Premier of Cleopatra at the Franklin Institute.

Andrew William Sanford, Lysander

Andrew Sanford (Lysander) was born and raised in Pittsfield, MA. Exposed to theater at a young age, he has been able to work with the Berkshire Theatre Festival out of Great Barrington, MA, portraying the Cowardly Lion in a production of The Wizard of Oz. Andrew moved to New York at the age of 18 to train at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Since graduating he has moved to Brooklyn to pursue acting full time.

Alex Gould, Demetrius

Alex Gould was born and raised in Brockton, MA. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Finalist in the Strawberry One Act Festival in the original play Balcony. Performed at the Manhattan Rep Theater Festival and the Capitol Fringe Festival in Washington D.C. in the original play Evolutionism, Or Dammit! We Took the Shortcut. He is a proud member of En Garde Entertaiment. More Chi! Among his numerous special skills are stage combat, dialects, and eating a Chipotle burrito in 3.75 minutes.

Tai Verley is a native Queens, New Yorker and is delighted to make her Curious Frog debut. Favorite theatre credits include: Ten Blocks on the Camino Real (dir: Anders Cato), A Sleeping Country (dir: Andreas Tselepos), EAT (TinLily Productions, dir: Jillian Johnson), Generation Graffiti (Sam French Short Play Festival 2009, dir: Diana Basmajian & Malinda Sorci). She is also an M.F.A. Graduate of The New School for Drama.

Manuel de la Portilla, Flute

Manuel de la Portilla is a Cuban-American Actor from Miami. He studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy here in New York City, and has been working on- and off- stage for various theater companies in Manhattan and the outer boroughs. Recent Shakespeare credits include Biondello in Taming of the Shrew (NYRF) and Roderigo in Othello (TTI). Film credits include Amos (supporting) in the Independent period piece The Good Man and Sebastian (lead) in SIAS prodution's Dead Rose. He would like to thank Renee for this great opportunity and his fellow actors for being so much fun to play with.

Christiana Little
Starveling/Peaseblosson/Scavenger

Austin native Christiana Little is thrilled to be making her CFTC debut. A recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Christiana is equally comfortable performing operatic and musical theatre repertoire as she is prancing around the parks of New York. She has premiered groundbreaking works by up-and-coming composers at venues ranging from Merkin Hall to the Stone, including two one- woman musical dramas written especially for her versatile “beautiful soprano” voice, which can also take on a “cool, bluesy sound.” (The Austin Chronicle). Favorite credits include “Lucy Lockit” in The Beggar’s Opera, “Cinderella” in Into the Woods, “Audrey” in Little Shop of Horrors, and “Yum-Yum” in The Mikado. Dorian McGhee, Snout/Cobweb/Scavenger

Dorian McGhee is a student at the College of Staten Island who is majoring in dramatic arts. He is a Staten Island native. His previous Shakespearean roles are Antonio in Twelfth Night and Mardian in Antony and Cleopatra. He is very proud to be making his debut with Curious Frog Theatre Company.

Sora Baek, Snug/Moth/Scavenger

Sora Baek is thrilled to be making her debut with Curious Frog. Sora’s acting experience encompasses plays in Korea, Boston, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, where she worked with Emmy Award winning directors, Joseph Sargent and Robert Butler. She won several prestigious awards including two Best Actress awards. She has also worked with an award winning production in Korea. Sora studied at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater, SITI company and trained at Summer Training Congress at American Conservatory Theater. She received her MFA in acting at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she studied with Diane Baker. Big thanks to Renee for this wonderful experience. Krystine Summers, Philostrate/Puck

Krystine Summers originally hails from Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia but most recently relocated from Georgia where she earned a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Columbus State University. Most recently seen in the Poeisis Theatre Group’s production of The Ophelia Landscape, other past productions include Tartuffe, Blood Wedding, The Taming of the Shrew, Finer Noble Gases, and 4.48 Psychosis.

 
Reneé Rodriguez, Director

Renee is pleased to be directing her fourth installment of Curious Frog's summer season. Shakespeare Directing Credits: (for CFTC) Romeo & Juliet, Comedy of Errors and Much Ado About Nothing; (regional/compilations) The Winter's Tale, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard III, Midsummer Night's Dream, Measure for Measure, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry IV. Margaret Lebron, Assistant Director

Margaret Lebron is originally from Peoria, IL and received her BA in English Literature and Theatre and Performance Studies from the University in Chicago. While living in Chicago she had the privilege of working with companies including 500 Clown, Collaboraction, Stage Left, Court Theatre, and Steppenwolf. Margaret recently marked her one-year anniversary in New York City by completing her MA in Performance Studies at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She would like to thank the actors for their enthusiasm and Renee for the opportunity!

 
Rocio Mendez, Fight Director

Rocio Alexis Mendez is an actor/fight director, born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Rocio has studied stage combat with AMDA, En Garde, Vampire Cowboys and Swordplay, NYC. Current obsession has been Kung Fu, and Capoeira continuously taking classes throughout the New York City area. This is Rocio’s third production with Curious Frog as Fight Director and has also done productions with Harlem School of the Arts, Classical Theater of Harlem, _gaia Studios, J City Theater, Phare Play Productions, and many more. Jessica Marie Mason, Stage Manager

Jessica Mason is originally from Rochester, NY and just graduated from SUNY Oneonta. She couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Curious Frog on Midsummer. Previous stage management credits include: King Richard III and Scotland Road. Previous professional works include: Freed (Wardrobe Supervisor) and working at Cortland Rep for their 2008 season as their Costuming Intern. She wants to thank Renee for this wonderful opportunity and she wants to thank her friends and family for their never-ending love and support.

 
Ali Turns, Costume Design

Ali is the 2006-2007 AUDELCO Award/Best Costume Design, Hamlet (Take Wing and Soar Productions), 2008-2009 AUDELCO nominee, King Lear, (TWAS, Productions) starring Trazana Beverly, director Timothy Stickney. Ali has worked with some of the greats in the ‘biz’; Ms. Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, in his play, Last Dance for Sybil, and with Tony Award winner, Ms. Beverly as an actress & director in King Lear and Medea, directed by Petronia Paley. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

 
Tara Clark, Props Design

Tara Clark joins Curious Frog for her second production. This spring, she was assistant producer for the The Maids. Overall, she had ten years of production experience, working as a producer on projects for various non-profits, including Autism Speaks, the Engine-911 Foundation, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the American Diabetes Association.
