Leif Evans was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (Roll Tide) where the acting bug bit him the age of seven acting in his church's Easter pageant. He was cast as a market child running around the vendors and getting underfoot of the adults. His parents, who say he never really walked after standing just ran, to this day swear he was type cast. This is his first production with Curious Frog and he would like to thank them for this opportunity. He would like to thank his family for all their love and support. As always, none of this would be possible without you!.

Carmen Shamwell (First Merchant, Balthazar)

Acting has always been a passion of mine, and having a role in a play by Shakespeare in New York City is a realization of a lifelong dream for me. While I love acting on stage and in front of the camera, much of my experience has come from behind the microphone while working for Air America Radio, bantering on-air with hosts, and providing voice talent for commercials and skits. I am originally from Washington, DC, and am an alumna of the University of Michigan.

Dave Adler (Dromio of Ephesus)

Dave graduated from Tufts University in 2007 with a BA in Theatre. He won Best Actor in a Leading Role twice during his time there, playing Katurian in The Pillowman and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Other notable roles at Tufts include Peter Pan in Brendan Shea's production, and Medvedenko in The Seagull directed by Laurence Senelick. Love and thanks to the usuals.

Michael Hagins (Antipholus of Ephesus)

Michael is happy to be a part of Curious Frog's production. Michael is an actor, director, producer, writer, fight choreographer, imbiber and bad joke teller. He is the founder and artistic director of the CAGE Theatre Company. His favorite roles include Othello, Mercutio, Petruchio and Paul in Six Degrees of Separation. Lauren Ashley Smith (Second Merchant)

A St. Louis native, Lauren holds a B.A. in American Studies from Dickinson College where she was a member of Dickinson's improv comedy troupe, Run With It! Recently, Lauren has performed at the Laugh Factory, as Euba in Fin and Euba, and is a member of the Striking Viking Story Pirates. Lauren currently works in the news department at VH1. Love and thanks to God and the incomparable blintzes.

Rachel McKeon (Pinch/Girl Scout)

Rachel McKeon Rachel is a current Sophomore Drama Student at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She enjoys words, creatures, mountains, and Korean Food. Thanks to a wonderful cast and a fab director/stage manager/fight choreographer/movement director!

Veronique Jeanmarie (Emilia)

Veronique Jeanmarie has performed regionally at The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, The Kennedy Center, The California Theatre Center, and The American Conservatory Theatre. In NYC she's been seen at BAM, Ensemble Studio Theatre, HERE, The Fringe Festival, Theatre for the New City, and The Workshop Theater Company. She is a also a playwright and a member of The Dramatists Guild. Veronique is a graduate of The American Conservatory Theatre.

 
Renee Racan Rodriguez (Director, Designer)

Founder, Curious Frog Theatre Company. Previously on the founding team Act Now! Theatre Company, and helped rebuild and market CTA Crossroads Theatre (San Francisco). As Director: Turn of the Screw (Altarena Playhouse) McGurk’s Suicide Hall (ReddMask Theatre Company). Assistant director: Marvin’s Room (Ross Valley Players) Our Town (Altarena Playhouse). Reneé has taught and directed Shakespeare for over 10 years throughout the United States, at one point spending a year with Idaho Shakespeare Festival, where she acted, directed, and taught voice and movement, and directed children in Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, one of her favorite plays. MFA, Indiana University. Transplant from San Francisco/ Bay Area, California.

 
Ryan Bartruff (Fight Director)

Ryan has been choreographing violence in and around New York City for the last several years. He received his initial stage combat training at New York University while earning his BFA. He then joined the Society of American Fight Directors, where he has participated in classes and workshops. Recently, he became a member of the United Stuntman's Association after training for film stunts, which included fighting for film and television. Some of his past credits as the fight choreographer include; Romeo and Juliet (Queens Shakespeare Inc.), Second Hand Smoke (Triad Arts Ensemble),West Side Story (Ridge Chorale/Jeff Samaha Prod.), and Avalon (FHB Productions, Spotlight On Award winner for Best Full Length Production). He would like to thank the cast for their hard work, and Lelia for her support.

 
Marie Morrow (Movement Director)

Marie Morrow (Dancer/Actress) has been performing since she was three years old. She attended the studio at American Conservatory Theatre before moving to NY to get her Masters at SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory. In 2006 she developed a one person short installation piece about the oversexualisation of women in the media that was shown in NY and in Paris. She is currently taking modern at Dance New Amsterdamn and has studied this past summer with Joe Goode and dancers in San Fransisco. The debut of her new dance theatre peice in collaboration with Danscores by Ofelia Loret De Mola will show this coming March at the Joyce SoHo Theatre.
